I also got a call like that and I though it might be true, but them they started to ask all this question in relation to who I was, if I had a credit card, and if I had money to sell the grant. I told them I was not interested and the the thing was that they were saying that I couldn't tell anyone until the "application" was complete.
Same. Former Gov't employee and have no problem with hiring naturalized citizens. To my knowledge it is the one way they can procure such employment. However, although this was never an issue, I believe they would realize, without bitching -assuming they haven't been here long enough to either be aware of right to do so or, possibly still find same distasteful, the need that whoever initiates or receives phone calls to or from the public at large (primary point of contact) would be aware of the need person doing so has demonstrated ability to speak in a manner that is easily understood. After expressing my doubts as to her being actual government employee she told me that upon further investigation between period..............thru period.............they were able to determine I had, intentionally provided false information resulting in me owing them 1400. I asked "So you determined I did this intentionally, correct?" She could not have been aware of last conversation I had with actual agency that was about to end in same way. I asked did you send me mail, notifying me of this? Huh? Did you send correspondence to my home notifying me of this? Of course. Received 2 calls today from these jokers (all automated)--one at 7:15 am. The message says that it is the IRS and they have been trying to reach me. This was the final communication and that they were filing a lawsuit against me. I was to call the above
Number immediAtely. THE IRS DOES NOT CALL! THEY SEND YOU CERTIFIED LETTERS. Please don't fall for this! These people are looking for you to send them money.
