RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.
There was a message on our phone from this number. It sounded like a computer leaving the message. The message said it was the IRS calling and this was our last warning and they were filing a lawsuit against us. The message said we needed to call their department number immediately.
I to got a call saying they were the IRS and they were starting a lawsuit, I am always taking telephone numbers and messages like this before a response, I am trying to contact the consumers project agency, you know the agency that Congress will not fund.
