Get the person on the line and then put phone over smoke detector and push test button. It blows the ear wax out. They will rip the phone headset off and will hear ringing in their ears.
I used to use the smoke detector and had great results (lots less calls). Now we have a cute little doggie, and I just can't take a chance on damaging the little guys ears. We now have been blocking 'em with excellent results. (hardly any calls)
I get calls every day from this number and just ignore it. I answered today and pressed one to talk with someone. I said "could you please take me off your list". The Indian jerk on the other end actually mocked me and hung up. Are you kidding me? #1 I said please and #2 I was going to explain I work nights and I keep getting their calls right after I TRY to go to sleep in the mornings. WHAT A JERK!! If they call us, why in the world can't we call their number back and talk with someone. Anyone else talking to the public like that would lose their job. This is so upsetting because their are so many Americans out there who have been laid off and would love a job. And instead, this type of "waste of air" has a job. I am just burning. You call me and disturb me, wanting me to "buy" your product and you mock me. DISGUSTING!!
The problem is...your are mistaking these people for Americans. They are not. They are using a spoof system to generate a fake U.S. number to appear on your caller id. They only want your info so they can steal your money. Its not even a legitimate company.
This is a debt collector scheme. If you've recently been receiving similar spoofed 'solicitation' calls (ie. Veterans/Police Assoc, IOLO tech support, Children's Cancer, etc.), hang-ups or abusive exchanges when trying to communicate you'll recognize the m.o. and know it's a bottom-feeder debt collector. The purpose of the calls is to verify your identity because the junk debt they've purchased is so old (out of SOL) it does not have accurate contact info. They've used skip tracing techniques to try and find what they think is a current contact number and are using spoofed phone #s and spoofed company/association names to dupe you into confirming you're who they're looking for. If they say they want to mail you something it's only to confirm your address so they can start mailing threatening demands for payment. Block or don't answer and if your name is included in your voice message you should change it.
