I received a call from this number and the same issue happened. Being a clever girl, I led the man on phone to believe that I was following his prompts and kept putting him on hold. I kept his game up for at least 30 minutes. Then I said "did you say Windows?" I don't have windows because I use Apple!!!! They hung up......bam!
I didn't answer the phone but they left a long message on my answering machine that was nothing but noise with voices in the background. It was impossible to figure out what they wanted.
Said he was from "Windows Support". When I asked which company he was with, he repeated. Heavy Indian/ Pakistan accent. Suspect fishing scam of some sort.
They pretend to be from Microsoft therefore never from Microsoft. We know there not real yet they continue to call.
We could communicate that fact yet they continue to call. Therefore as soon as they call and know the subject we hang up.
