I received a call from this number and the same issue happened. Being a clever girl, I led the man on phone to believe that I was following his prompts and kept putting him on hold. I kept his game up for at least 30 minutes. Then I said "did you say Windows?" I don't have windows because I use Apple!!!! They hung up......bam!
Didn't answer even though someone from San Antonio might have been legit. Thanks to all the contributors here, they've been added to the "answer and disconnect w/o ringing" list.
Got the windows call same spiel as everyone else. I asked where he was located and he said Florida then I asked why his number was from Texas. He stumbled around for a few minutes and I kept asking different questions other than computers and he finally got tired and said he was transferring me to a supervisor and the call disconnected. All a scam
Call came this afternoon. I normally wouldn't have answered a call with an unfamiliar number but do have a relative in Texas and was waiting to hear from her. I couldn't even understand the woman where she was from. I told her to not call me again, take me off her list and that it was a scam. How many people really fall for this crap? There must be some or they wouldn't continue.
Pretends to be from Microsoft - We could communicate that fact again.
Yet still doing this for days, months and years
Therefore as soon as they call - Know the subject of the call we hang up.
We know there not real - yet they continue to call again.
Pretends to be from Microsoft - We told them enough their not real
