I received a call from this number and the same issue happened. Being a clever girl, I led the man on phone to believe that I was following his prompts and kept putting him on hold. I kept his game up for at least 30 minutes. Then I said "did you say Windows?" I don't have windows because I use Apple!!!! They hung up......bam!
this dufus keeps calling here. i told him "shame on you, I don't work with scammers"! He got very angry. He said I shouldn't call him that since I don't even know him! He does have a very strong eastern accent. The other person in my house usually curses at him! Wish there was a way to capture his MAC address and send a cease-desist or a cyber virus back at him!
some guy with a very heavy accent just called and said he was with Windows Support and a virus was reported on my computer. I knew this was a scam so I told him that I had an Apple computer. Uh Oh....he didn't know what to do now so he just apologized. I told him I thought he was just a scam and he offered me a phone number to prove he was legit, oh sure, like he would give me his real phone number.
Same as with others, a scam about the computer. The troubling thing is that these phone calls used to originate from India, according to Comcast, and now they are coming from Texas.
The caller didn't give his name but said he was with Windows Support. He claimed there was a virus on my computer, specifically with Windows and that I needed to go to a certain website and he would talk me through fixing the problem.
When I said your fake fake fake she said yes she was.
Another time and phone call I said - I know where you are - he sounds like someone from the Philippines he became hysterical and said Texas Texas Texas
