Just got a call today at 1:45pm, and a recording came on, stating it is the IRS with a claim against us, and if we do not respond immediately they will go ahead and charge us. It said we must call 210-888-0979
I was surprised, since we had just sent off an updated amendment to the IRS inquiry they had made, regarding an error.
Claiming to be IRS. States they are suing me and to call immediately. I did try to report this to the IRS, however their mailboxes are full, can't leave a message, and they ask me to fax or mail the info. I don't have a fax machine. What's the point of mailing it to them?
I got a call from this # at 8:04am mst today. Was a recorded message. The IRS trying to reach me because they were filing a lawsuit against me. Call them back at this number.
SADLY, I did call, because I was 1/2 asleep when I got the call, then got in a panic.
Guy that answered could barely speak English, sounded Indian. Asked my name. Mentioned my husbands name. Mentioned my address and then the call was lost.
HOPEFULLY nothing bad will happen.
In my opinion, all scammers should be shot on sight when caught.
