My caller said he was from "WINDOWS Support" not Microsoft. There is a difference. Microsoft is trademarked, copyrighted etc. windows is not and can't be. Anyone can say they work for windows, Microsoft is a different story.
He got all huffy when I called hin a "pakistani scammer". In retrospect his English was so good he is probably Filippino.
A woman called and told me my Windows computer was hacked and it would be deactivated and the govt was watching me because the Russians were using my computer to spy. I acted like I was very concerned so she put her "senior technician" on the phone to help me. I acted like I was computer illiterate and made him talk very slowly and repeat himself. He directed me to teamviewer (remote software service). When he asked what number I saw on the screen, I made up a fake IP address and fake PIN. At that point he realized I was on to his scam, he started yelling profanities and hung up on me. I had kept him on the phone for 20 minutes. That's 20 minutes less time for him to scam somebody who may not have known better

called on Saturday claiming to be from "Windows Technical Department" - told him I didn't request his call, yet he kept on talking as I hung up. male with Indian accent.
Exact same spiel as all the others above. These rats have been calling me for years, same Microsoft lies, using tons of different phone numbers. As soon as they start in about my computer having a virus I hang up. I have better things to do than sit an argue with these creeps.
Yep, this number called today, saying my Microsoft had an infection and they wanted my debit or credit card number to fix it. What they don't know is I don't have Microsoft, only iOS Apple . Lol
