thanks for posting the DNC number. I just called and entered my number to not be called. I'm sure this will work. I had been asked if I would take a survey when I spoke to someone at BofA a couple months ago. Maritz has called many times, which I mostly ignore - or if I pick up the phone it's just not convenient to do the survey at that moment. I'm now tired of their evening calls so I'm glad to have come across the number to get me off the list.
I just had the same experience. I answered, no reply (sounded like telemarketers in the background), then a click. Glad I googled this. Thanks for your comments.
6:15 P.M. As others have noted, Caller ID says Maritz Research, and when I google the number is Says Sharon Middleton. If I don't recognize the calling #, I don't pick up.
I just got a call at 8:39pm from this number 240-210-7006. My caller ID said cellular call. I answered and it was a young woman who identified herself to be with Bank of America. "Firstly I would like to thank you for banking with Bank of America" Then she started talking about taking a survey. I told her not at this time and hung up.
I thought it rather odd that Bank of America would do a survey at this time of night and from a cellphone. I started googling and found this site.
Interesting.
Looks like it won't do any good to call the bank regarding this.
