thanks for posting the DNC number. I just called and entered my number to not be called. I'm sure this will work. I had been asked if I would take a survey when I spoke to someone at BofA a couple months ago. Maritz has called many times, which I mostly ignore - or if I pick up the phone it's just not convenient to do the survey at that moment. I'm now tired of their evening calls so I'm glad to have come across the number to get me off the list.
I received the call at 8:55 and caller ID shows it was from Maritz Research. When I answered, I heard a click and then I hung up. Could it be political polls who want to provide whatever response they want?
I just got a call from this number... same deal; spoofed caller id, "Doing a survey on behalf of BofA... etc."... the trouble is, the first question she asked was a definitely something that BofA should already know about me, so I questioned her about that and she hung up on me. THIS IS A SCAM.
I had the same experience with this caller who claimed to be with B of A, and who had some personal information of mine and wanted me to take a "survey". The time was about 5:30 pm west coast. When I expressed concern as to who this person was, he hung up abruptly.
240 is a US State of Maryland area code.
I wrote my B of A an email notifying them of this activity.
I received a call this morning from a lady claiming to be Sharon - she sounded sedated or on something, and she claimed that she works for american express and when I asked her for a contact number to return her call she said that she doesn't have one and that she is at a call center? So I then goggled the number with the following results:
Sharon Middleton (240) 210-7006 8660 Valley Dr, Waldorf, MD 20603
