Some guy calling from "US Deputy Sheriff's Association". Said that they needed money for bulletproof vests and officers lost in the line of duty. I asked them if they could send some info in writing. Guy said that he needed a pledge from me before he could send me some materials by mail. I said that I'll pledge something as soon as I get something in writing. Guy said "ok, thank you" and hung up.
Sounds like a scam to me. Oh, yeah, Stranger, let me give you my credit card number so you can take all of my hard-earned money out of my account!
This is a call center number for American breast cancer donations (? at least that's what they claim). They call at all times of the day but usually between 7:30pm & 8:57pm PST. I've asked to be removed from calling list but they continue to call.
I've gotten repeated calls from this number as well. No message, no answer. I'm registered on the do not call registry and I will report them every time they call. Maybe that will stop it. (Hefty fines.)
Theese people have been calling me everyday for the past week, they don't leave a message, and when I try to call back, they don't answer. It's B.S. and I'm getting pretty tired of it.
