I'm beginning to wonder if the bunch making these calls might be associated with a well known, scurrilous JDB operation using the name Chase. They're not affiliated in any way with Chase bank or JP Morgan Chase. Now, this would explain the blatant use of the name Chase & the tactics being described here are eerily similar to those that are commonly used by low-ball JDBs. If this is the case then this outfit had better wise up. Blatantly using "Shills" in this manner, on a public forum, is illegal & reports have been made to the Chase fraud prevention people. If I was a bottom feeding JDB I certainly wouldn't want to anger the Chase conglomerate!

You could be right on that. These people change names faster than people change their underwear. And they have been known to impersonate real businesses and attorney's offices.
When I get a chance I'll go through my files. I know I've seen the name "Chase" come up in relation to a real JDB. I believe the parasites were scrounging out of CA but I'm not sure on that. I always get a kick out of JDBs that use names like "Chase". We know why they do it & this thread might very well be an example of that.
Right now I have to go & actually do some work on this holiday. A job I won't leave to one of my trusted underlings. I'm going to go put the finishing touches on a hardwood floor. I know, that doesn't sound like something that important. Until one considers that I'm putting the finishing touches on over 3000 sq. ft. of solid, lovingly restored, reclaimed Mahogany.

I finally called them back after they have called me every Saturday morning for the past 4 months. Said they were "Chase" (as we know they do), someone came on with their ID number, and I said I wanted my number removed from their list. They said, okay, what's the number? If they were an actual bank, first of all they would have caller ID and secondly they would tell me that they are not soliciting people. If I called actual Chase Bank and asked for my number to be removed, they would say, WTF. Anyway, I gave them my phone number because I am sick of this. They then asked me for my name. I said I didn't want to give my name. They then said that their "system is set up in a way that a number cannot be removed without a name." I told them a fake name, and I even said, well how about a fake name for you. They then said, thank you for calling us and I hung up. So disturbing. I hope it isn't bad that I gave them my phone number. I guess I should have just blocked theirs.
