they will try to have you run a "Microsoft security scan" .... its just a directory list of all files on your computer and when it is running they type "Trojan, virus or some other nonsense... so when the text stop it says it at the end. just hang up and tell them the jig is up. they are not Microsoft techs.
Scammer! Again...another scammer! Every other month I register my number on the Do Not Call list and every other month they some how get through to me...again. Block the number!
THESE ARE SCAMMERS - BEWARE. They just called me and tried the same thing. Said they were with some "Geek" something or other and my computer was downloading a bunch of viruses. Tried the Windows+R, then wanted me to bring up Teamviewer so he could have access to my computer. I asked how he had my information and he said it was tied to my IP address. I asked him my IP and he said some random numbers, not my IP. I then asked him what my name was and he said the wrong name. They eventually hung up on me as I questioned them.
