This company called me saying I had a pending lawsuit with the irs from 2008-2012 taxes. He was obviously of Indian (India) decent, said his name was Sam Johnson, employee id 59372.
This telemarketing company called me several times. They have a prerecorded voice playing that claims they are the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me. The prerecorded message also asks to be called back and provides the telephone number 346-971-6291 claiming it is an IRS office. First of all, I am smart enough to know that the IRS would never contact anyone in this fashion. It is against federal law for anyone to impersonate a government official, this company is breaking the law by doing what they're doing and the government should step in and shut them down. This is clearly an effort to scam older people who may not necessarily know how the IRS conducts business.
