I got a call from 213-141-5163 robot call said IRS, Lawsuit being filed and to call 347-418-0574 which is New York #, they asked what my name was and I said I don't know who they called for and I would give my phone number and they could tell me who they called for. They asked a Mrs. so and so, I asked for their name and badge number and they didn't have a badge# and I told them there was no Mrs. so and so and they were frauds and I could and will file formal complaint; they hung up on me twice. I will call one more time to try and get more info on them. If they can call and bug me well the phone goes both ways. They are fraudulent cowards and I will be turning them in, I am sick to death of these calls and will fight back now. All they do is try and scare you into calling and giving them all your personal I.D. information so they can try to steal your identity. They think no one will fight back, we'll they were DEAD WRONG!!! I really hope this helps someone and you all beware fight back and have a GREAT DAY :-)
Not a one of you said report these SOB to the authorities. Quit being so darn lazy.
More scammers trying to steal money from us old folks. Go get them and put them in jail.
These callers violate my right to privacy, harass and terrorize myself and others, illegally spoof their caller IDs and illegally call cellular phone numbers.
Filed the above complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. Suggest others do likewise. They have the authority to take action and need the complaints filed in order to do so. Complaining here at 800notes.com will not result in action being taken.
I said to report them but I'm also reporting them to the Attorney Generals office and the state of California Business Affairs Office. I would love to see these people prosecuted not just complained about. Putting our experience on these various sites serves multiple purpose to hopefully warn and possibly educate a little, after all a warning and a little education can't hurt.
Got similar voice mail message today on landline, claiming to be "Officer" from IRS and a lawsuit has been filed against me. Said to call 347-418-0574 to respond. I filed a complaint on IRS's web site to report scams...
I go the same call as well to call back 347-418-0574 regarding IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. Unfortunately some seniors folks will be intimidated and call them back and then be completely wiped out of their savings. It is the sad truth, and the best way is to report this number to the authorities, but since no crime has been committed (in their books) they will not proceed.
