Received call from 347-418-0574 stating it was office richard with irs and that this is their second call to me stating irs was going to see me and the police will come and pick me up if i don't take care of this. Well, i not only called them back i called them all afternoon since i have unlimited calling and time to spare. They got very frustrated with me but i thought at least it will keep them from scamming an old person.
1:46 pm Got a call from "Private Caller" no phone number. I let it go to message machine, the prerecorded message said that it is IRS and they filed a lawsuit against me ...., so call this number 347-418-0574. I went strait to 800notes.com. As I set down to search, 1:51 pm, another call comes is, this time from 213-141-5163. I picked up and the same exact massage started, so I blocked it.
this is a tax scam. Do not give them any information about yourself. Do not buy a temporary credit card and give them any information about it. This is not the irs. But they know how to play your fears and when they con you out of your money, visa, who you might think could help block this con, will simply say...too bad, you lost your money. Don't give these people any information. They aren't the real irs. The irs will send letters. The phone may list that you are being called by the irs, but this is a scam. It is fake. Hang up. Don't worry. They are fake. I lost 500$ to them last year. Felt like an idiot near instantly. Even with instant calls to visa the bank will do nothing to protect you or stop the scammers. The scam has been going on for years.
