On July 26, 2012, I got a call from this number. It registered on my caller ID as "Financial Ctr." I did not answer the phone. On today's date, August 15, 2012, I received another call from "Financial Ctr." except this time the number was 503-457-1407. I answered this call. The recording said that this is my final courtesy call to lower my credit card rate to 6%; all I need is $3,000 in credit card debt and one card in good standing. It also said they have tried to contact me several times and that this is my final call for my yearly credit card review.
The automated recording did not give a key to press to be removed from their list; It said "Press 1 if you are interested in lowering your credit card debt..." So I pressed 1 and got a woman who said "So i understand you are interested in lowering your credit card payments?" I said, "No, but I understand I want to be removed from your call list." Before I could finish my sentence, she hung up on me!
If you get a call from "Financial Ctr" on your caller ID, DO NOT ANSWER!
I have done this several times already and every time they hang up on me. How am I to get off this list!???
I will tell you all what i had to do to get them to leave me alone. They kept calling me and would not leave me alone. If you listen to the message to get this deal you have to have a few credit cards and debt totaling out to be more than 3,000.00. So i listened and it said if i want'd to speak with an operator to push 1. So this lady ( YES, I KNOW!!! SHOCKER) she was a real person. I told her that i was tired of receiving harrassing phone calls. To not call me..I would call her if i needed help. She kind of got sarcastic and ask me why in the world i wouldn't want to lower my interest rate on my credit card or credit cards? I told her I didnt owe 3000.00 $'s in Debt and she said ok, that's why. I said excuse me. She was quiet for a few seconds. Then she said ok ma'm you are removed. We will see if that took care of the situation because they call me like 3 times a day. REALLY!!! So another way to get them to stop calling is to say you have no credit cards. I used to not answer or ask to be put on their DO NOT CALL LIST. That doesnt work anymore. I am desperate. Thinking about getting rid of my land line for that one reason. I am so tired of the government not taking care of this problem. it is rampid. I feel our #'s are being sold for profit and that is just wrong. If i harrassed you on the pnone like this.....I would be arrested. So tired of this crap. LEAVE US ALONE.
Got another call from these SCAMMERS. I have taken a new approach to them. The longer we keep them on the line the less time they have to call others. So, as an example, the last time I got a call from some of the scumb bags, I talked nice to them (Never giving them any useful info, ie card no. etc.) and when she ask me to get my latest statement to verify the interest rate, I told her that I would have to go get it. And ask if she would hold on, she replied that she would. I laid the phone down and went to the kitchen and had a nice conversation with my wife, did a little picking up of things laying around the house. Then picked up the phone and asked if she was still there, she was. I stated that i was having trouble finding the statement, but would looking again and she should hold on. Spent another 15 minutes doing things around the house, walked out in the yard and finally went back and told her I could not find it. After another 10 minutes of conversation, I finally upset her enough that she hung up on me. At this point, I had never given any info about card no, etc.
I guess the best thing would be to just lay the phone down and never go back.
I received a call from 360 474-3986 and did not answer it. I looked it up and this has resulted me in responding to this report. The posts before mine indicate it is a SCAM call.
