On July 26, 2012, I got a call from this number. It registered on my caller ID as "Financial Ctr." I did not answer the phone. On today's date, August 15, 2012, I received another call from "Financial Ctr." except this time the number was 503-457-1407. I answered this call. The recording said that this is my final courtesy call to lower my credit card rate to 6%; all I need is $3,000 in credit card debt and one card in good standing. It also said they have tried to contact me several times and that this is my final call for my yearly credit card review.
The automated recording did not give a key to press to be removed from their list; It said "Press 1 if you are interested in lowering your credit card debt..." So I pressed 1 and got a woman who said "So i understand you are interested in lowering your credit card payments?" I said, "No, but I understand I want to be removed from your call list." Before I could finish my sentence, she hung up on me!
If you get a call from "Financial Ctr" on your caller ID, DO NOT ANSWER!
I have done this several times already and every time they hang up on me. How am I to get off this list!???
Received call at 12:48 PM. No name, just the phone number 360-474-3986. They hung up when they heard the first part of my answering machine message of having a "Trap" on the line.
The call indicated it was our last chance to take care of our credit card contact. They had contacted us several times by phone and mail but had gotten not response. It gave you the option of talking to a rep.
I asked to be put on their do not call list. The man said "You can go to hell" and hung up.
it doesn't work - they've called me at least 3 times since I requested to be added to their Do Not Call List. Now they know mine is a good number and the calls continue.
This time I called back 5 times and each time requested to be added to their do not call list - hopefully it will take this time ... or ... they will call me 5x more often.
As others have said, why bother signing up with the government do not call list if they don't follow through.
Like others have said, this starts out with a recorded message offering to lower my credit card costs. I get many calls from this service. I've asked to be taken off their list, but that doesn't help. Within the past hour I got yet another call, saying press 1 to speak to a friendly operator. So I pressed 1 and asked the person if he was a friendly operator. He replied "No, I'm not", and then immediately hung up!
