I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
This is so weird.. looking all the comments say it's a scam.
I was not going to pick up at first, and at the very moment my phone was ringing, I started searching for the number right away. The thing is, I was expecting a call from my recruiter, so I decided to take a chance. And it was a phone call from my recruiter(different rep) who has set up an interview for me with Facebook.
Don't get me wrong, I believe all others say what happened to them.. but at least this number was legit to me.
If you're not expecting a call from an unknown number, maybe you shouldn't take it, I guess.
I received a call from this number and didn't answer, no message left. I do not answer calls that I don't know the number .
If you have a cell phone go to the Play store and download the "Whitepages Caller ID" app (it is a black square with white ID letters) it will block most spam calls and you can mark others as spam. If the ID app doesn't catch it then block it yourself. I have gotten eleven calls since I downloaded the app last week and it has blocked all but three and I marked them as spam.
I wish the government or whoever can do this would stop these spammers, it seems to be worse when I signed up on the "Do Not Call List".
Caller ID said DEVRY. I answered and got a recording that says Microsoft has received warnings from my computer and to push 1 to talk to a Microsoft Tech. Microsoft doesn't monitor any ones computer. These scams are getting really stupid.
