I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
Call came in after 10 pm. Screen read "devry". When I answered the man just grunted I asked who is this 2x. He didn't respond to that but launched into a rant about how I damaged his car. I replied that he had wrong number. He said I smashed up his car and left note then called me "b" and was telling me to stop yapping when I hung up
They never said the company name, but said they were receiving errors from my computer. They asked me to turn it on so they could show me where the problems were on my computer. I told them I couldn't do that and then I hung up? Don't fall for it people.
"I have good news for you! You may have remembered that you filled out a customer form while shopping at a store. You may remember filling out this form" I quickly replied that I did not fill out any form and before I could say "do not call me again", they hung up on me. Seems like this person(s)/scam company is trying A LOT of different kinds of scams. Idiots. Don't fall for it, people!
I,just received a call from this number. It was a recording claiming to be the irs. And telling me that I needed to call them back immediately before there was a lawsuit out against my name and social security number.
