I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
I have been receiving calls, numerous times a day from this number and another Miami phone number. They are foreign and speak very fast, making it very difficulty to understand them. They are claiming to be from the Department of Education trying to give away free grant money for me to continue my education. They also told me the answers to a series of questions and said to lie to the advisor who would be asking me the questions so I will qualify for the grant money. Its a scam !!! They are fishing to steal your information !!!
They said they were from Microsoft and wanted to help with my computer error. Told them to take me off their call list and he stated mocking me. He honestly asked if I was too good to take his calls or if I was just that stupid.
The caller id read DEVRY, but the person said they are from Microsoft and reporting my computer has viruses. TThis is a BS phishing scam. I am a IT Professional and there is no way they can obtain your telephone number from your IP address. Just tell these A**Holes to F#*k Off!
Got a call telling me about unwanted problems on my computer. I don't know where he said he was from, but they sure do try hard to make you believe them.
