I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
It first showed as a local phone number, but when I picked up it changed to this number and says Telekenex. The man said they have been receiving error messages from my computer on several programs. I said I don't have a computer and he kept arguing with me. I was laughing and he kept saying Ma'am yes you do have a computer. I said I didn't back and forth several times and then I finally said...Good try, but I really don't have a computer. Have a good day and I hung up.
Be very careful if they call and you do actually have a computer. Do not give them any information. It is a scam and they will mess up your computer and then charge you to fix it. That happened to my mom before and she ended up having to have her computer wiped and they still kept calling her saying she owed them money. Not sure if it is the same company, but it is the same scam.
have read all the negative posts about this #.I am now very confused . heres why. I just start using google "hangouts". free computer phone calls within US. the # that shows on my sisters phone ID is 404 260 0992. WTF ?????
