I checked around. This phone number is 'called' Tea Party Patriots. Apparently they don't have anything to do with the 'tea party'. The common characteristic among the call recipients is that someone in the household (or the address) might have voted for the Republicans (GOP) in one of the last 2 elections. So this number (group) is being used to harass these people till they get fed up with the Tea Party and stop supporting it.
I can't get more information to find out if this is a Democratic funded scammer or someone doing it on his own funds to try help the Democrats.
Remember the IRS!
Maybe, this is a variant on the same kind of harassment.
If it is really the Tea Party calling, they would wait to talk to you about their cause and ask for your support or at least, for a donation. This number just calls till you want to pull your hair out. No other intent behind it.
I can't handle all these calls... run to answere phone, or drop what I am doing... 2 or 3 rings and there isn't even anyone there... I am on a do not call list... I want my name removed from their call list.
I just called this number back and reached a message where you can press zero and enter your phone number to stop receiving calls from them. They are a third party fund raising group. We'll see if they really do stop calling.
I have been receiving calls from this number for months....same time in evening around 6:30 Pacific Daylight Time. I'm registered on DO NOT CALL list.....what is up with this. Other reports seem to infer this is a third party fund raiser. They need to be stopped. Number shows up as 404-891-5541, I do not know this number and do not answer. I see many complaints regarding this harrassment....any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I forgot to mention. Whoever it is, they call several times a day, seven days a week, sometimes in the middle of the night. I don't know how to block them on my cell phone or I would.
