If you're on the Do Not Call list, file a complaint with National Do Not Call Registry.
If it was a recorded message instead of a live person, you don't even have to be on the list to file a complaint.
It might not seem like they take action on your individual complaint, but they accumulate and investigate many such complaints over time to build a case. Google "telemarketing violations" in the news and you'll see that these creeps really can be made to pay for harassing you.
Recorded message from "Rachael" of Credit Services. This scam is sooooo old and the many different numbers on Caller ID in the last 5 years makes me wonder why these scammers even bother. Is there someone out there that actually bites their bait and give out personal information?
I guess I'll just set the ring ID to silence again. I've got over 89 different numbers that call my phone and are scams. "Rachael" and her ilk are top contenders for most screwed up scammers.
Don't bother. These people are moral slugs that can't be shamed or made to change their ways. The caller ID's are spoofed (phony) and there is no address or real company name. How can you report them? If you call the caller ID number you'll probably "full voice mailbox" because it's a phony number that sends all incoming calls to voice mail until it is full. This is probably a number some poor schmuck had that he had to give up because of all the irate responders.
The employees are boiler room minimum wage people who only do what they're told. They're rude and don't give a crap because they have to put in their time no matter what.
Complaining to them only makes their day go by faster.
Don't push any 1 or 3 button, because that only puts your number in an active list. Just hang up, report the number to 800notes and let this crap go. It's not worth bothering with something we cannot change or fix.
They've called 2 days in a row. Caller ID says "Wireless Caller." Recorded message saying it was Rachael with Card Holder services asking to lower the interest rate on a credit card. It said to text 3 to end the calls (I have a landline....) or press 1 to talk to a person. I asked for the company name and contact info and started to say I was on the do not call list and he hung up. Reported it (both times) to the do not call list. So how can I get this to STOP????
