Received two calls from this scam group, both about two weeks apart. First call I answered was a pre-recorded message saying that it was urgent I take advantage of the call to lower my interst rates on credit cards, which I haven't got. I pressed the 1 button and was connected to a black woman who was likely semi-literate and to whom I really gave a piece of mind, calling her outright a scammer and hanging up before she started sassing back. Second time call from this scamming group I again pressed the number to be connected, this time to a young black man. I gave him hell after I asked where he ws calling from. "Riverside, California," he said in nasal intonation. I told him to take my number off his list and not call it anymore. Of course, that won't do anything because these scumbags aren't affiliated with any legitimate organization that would respect someone's privacy rights. So scammers beware: If you are unlucky and stupid enough to call my number, prepare to have your day ruined.
If you have Verizon FiOS Digital Voice service, you can add up to 10 numbers to your block list. Voilà, no more annoying calls! You can manage your block list here: http://www.verizon.com/fiosvoice/
Same recorded message as previous calls, now from a different number.
Last time it was 407 434-9999 instead of 429-9999
"chance to lower your interest rate to 6.9%...your eligibility expires shortly....."
Come on, Do-Not-Call people, wake up, I've registered this call with you multiple times.
(Note, FTC website is no help and 5 windows later only refers you to DoNotCall.gov)
What if we all play along with it? Listen to them and act like you are interested and you want to lower your rates. Keep them on the line as long as you can and then give them a fake credit card number. Let's all waste THEIR time!
