I had a call from a 'Jennifer Thomas' in accented English, who asked to be transferred to a high executive in another branch of the company. When I told her his name didn't ring a bell, she asked me if I had access to our company's global directory to give her his direct line. I told her that I was sure if she needed someone of that level, she would have his assistant's number.
Call our company as well - every day ... Either ignore the call or we pick up & put them directly on hold. Its amusing to see how long they will stay on hold ... up to 7-10 mins !!! LOL ..................
This company will call incessantly (several separate calls one after the other) and ask for every executive on the directory for their direct phone number and email address to send company information to. He, "Roger Anderson" was asked several times what the nature of the call is for and who the business was that he was representing and he avoided answering and refused to answer point blank with "the information about the company will be sent via email". Do not give him anything!!!
Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. A man with a thick Indian accent asked if he could speak with xxxxx and I said it was me. He asked if I worked for xxxxx company and my job title was xxxxxx. I said that used to be correct but I don't work there anymore. He asked if someone replaced me at the xxxxx company which made me curious and I asked who it was again, he spoke his name quickly (I didn't catch it) and said he worked for Smart Inc. and then asked if someone replaced me again. I said I didn't know, not while I was still working there and he said ok and hung up on me. Best guess is he got the job info from LinkedIn (I started a new job about a year ago and never updated it), but I still have no idea how he got my cell phone number, it's not posted anywhere online.
Call my company at least 10 times a day. Will not stop even though I have repeatedly asked them to stop. Now I ignore the call. Very frustrating and annoying
