I got this phone call today from the following number it's a female with a India accent my caller id says 415-484-8341 San Francisco/North Bay Area. Telling me to dial that number and a Kenneth Webster pick up with a non foreign accent telling me I owe in interest and penalties of $2800 while the female said $10000. Don't give out any of your information to these people
I, Also, received a call from this number... It did not sound letgit. The IRS sends you, in writing, REGISTERED mail, any communication of official nature. This has ALL the marks of a scam. The caller ID number (that I got the message from) was 415-295-5685, the guy claims that his name is David Johnson with a "department" phone number of 415-484-8341. The "caller ID" number was answered by "First Financial" can you say (SCAMMMMM)?
I have been getting the same calls since last week, the guy says his name is David Johnson and he is looking for Beverly Coleman and needs her to call right away. I call back and nothing happens. last week, I called back and I got "First Financial" as well. I am calling the IRS right now and telling them about this.
Claimed to be from IRS requesting information. In a very threatening voice, told me that I income tax deficiencies that needed to be corrected. He gave me a number in San Francisco to call. I asked where he was, he replied in California. I asked him to transfer me to the person I needed to speak to and he hung up. I have always known the IRS to use 800 numbers. 415 484-8341 and 415-484-2132 are the numbers that I have been getting numerous calls from. The numbers came up as 'Unidentified'.
This is a FELONY scam! If you receive a call from these people report them immediately to The Treasury Inspector General at 800-366-4484 There is an open investigation.
