I got this phone call today from the following number it's a female with a India accent my caller id says 415-484-8341 San Francisco/North Bay Area. Telling me to dial that number and a Kenneth Webster pick up with a non foreign accent telling me I owe in interest and penalties of $2800 while the female said $10000. Don't give out any of your information to these people
I received three calls yesterday from which two voicemail messages were left stating he was investigator, Patrick Jones (speaking with a distinct Pakistani or Indian accent), from the IRS because there was a deficit in my taxes and I needed to return the call promptly to avoid legal action. The IRS usually sends notices by registered mail and their phone numbers are "800" numbers. This is clearly a scam and anybody who's being or has been contacted by these people should report them to the Treasury Inspector General (800-366-4484).
I keep getting phone calls from this# 415 484 8341 on my cell phone. They leave a message that I do not understand (because the person talking is from a foreign country) and only indicate that I should not ignore this message and avoid legal consequences? SCAM...I think so.
Received a message from a supposed Chris Brown from the IRS (man who speaks with an Indian accent and sounds like he is reading directly off a paper). Called them back and they said I have a deficiency with my taxes and that my payment arrangements were not to low. Then the lady asked if I was aware of what's going on? And if I had a lawyer so they can fax the forms. I told them never received anything via mail, and she said an old address from 3-4 yrs ago???? Lol after I told them that that was an old address they hung up. I tried numerous times to call back and they hang up or don't answer. I called from another phone to let them know that the call was being traced and reported. They immediately hung up. So I decided I'm going to harass them by calling and posting their number on social media so everyone else can call and harass them. And definitely reported them to the treasury inspector general.!!!
Received several calls from this IRS scam. I called back and told them to loose my number and the lady "Michelle Brown" called me a "stupid [***]".....very professional! I suggest you call your phone provider and have the number blocked because they are ruthless!
