Caller called trying to say they were from the IRS. I told them exactly what I had owed, that I had paid it and had all the receipts to prove that. Asked why I had not received a notice that I under paid and were I made a mistake the person did not know How to respond. He gave me a reference number and started to threaten that I was to be in court. I told him that I would be contacting him tomorrow through the IRS number online and he hung up......Obviously if every one starts calling them out on this scam they will stop.
Yep got the same IRS call this morning. Heavy Indian accent. I was told there was a warrant out for my arrest for owed taxes. I suppose to be arrested tomorrow morning. Scam for sure. If you have doubts call the IRS
