Foreign accent, seemed to know I had a computer problem. Think I got redirected to a scam site when trying to download drivers. Said he was from Windows and got nervous when I asked if he was from Microsoft and he hung up.
Said they were "Windows Technical Department". I have checked w/Microsoft and there is no such thing and they are aware of this scam which I believe is an attempt either to get into your computer or hawk some worthless junk. IT IS A SCAM! HANG UP and block the number, which is probably spoofed.
Just discovered this number on my television telephone log....from 1/13.......blocked it....The microsoft mentioned above is a familiar scam...just a different number...
