The majority of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. The US has no authority in those country's and unless their government decides to cooperate, your best bet is a call blocking device or phone for a landline or a free app online for a cell.

Exactly what the scammer who is NOT from Microsoft would say.  Never give remote access to a cold caller.  They have NO WAY of knowing there is a problem.
