they been calling me from years from all different numbers from all different States from landlines and cell phone numbers. they claim they are from Microsoft and there is a problem with your computer. First off I am very computer savvy and I know there's nothing wrong with my computer. after receiving several calls from them I decided to play along. They tell you to type a combination of letters and numbers into your search bar. So I acted like I was following their instructions and they tasked me what do you see. I told them nothing. So they asked me to type it in again and once again I acted like I typed it in and he asked me what do you see I said nothing there's nothing there. He said you don't see a young Chinese girl. I said no and called him out on his.[***]. These [***] are trying to get you to access a child porn site and then extort money out of you saying that they can erase it out of your computer for like $500. everyone knows what happens when you get caught going to the sites it can ruin your life. And these people are claiming there from Microsoft in trying to extort money from people with the threat of you getting caught with this website stored in your computer's memory attached to your IP address your name your address and personal information. its funny they know that you own a computer and they know your name and your telephone number so I can only speculate that Microsoft or whoever you bought your computer off of sold your information to these [***]. there's been several reports about this going on for years. How many lives have they ruined how many people have extorted money from. almost everybody knows about this Scam including the government do you think they're doing anything about it [***] no. good luck trying to live in the wonderful United States of America where everybody's a f****** victim of everything. and your government doesn't give a s*** about you or your life or your god damn computer. I'd like to get my hand on one of these Indian [***] and rip your f****** head clean off your shoulders
I received the same type call today from 423-845-7012 - stating he was with "Windows Technical Department". I stopped him and ask him his name and he identified himself as Jack Franklin. I then asked him for his direct number to call him back and he gave me 800-301-1748. I then immediately googled the 423 and got this link. I am blocking the number as well. Thank you all.
CID says "Bristol, TN". My wife picked up. Called at 6 PM on 2/5/16. Caller said they were calling about a problem with my computer. Foreign accent (India ?). Wife hung up. Add to call blocker. I imagine some dirty building in India with sewage running down the streets outside and a bunch of filthy stinky low-lifes making thousands of calls spoofing numbers. Why would I want to talk to them at all? I can smell the stench over the phone!
