I've just reported this to Bank of America. It is a confirmed scam, and they are investigating it. This number "469-201-7025" called me at 7am this morning to say they are "Card Member Services". When I pressed them for a company name, since "Card Member Services" as a generic term, not a company name, they said they are with "FIA". FIA is an actual company, but this number is only using this other company's name ILLEGALLY> IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM. My bank--Bank of America--confirmed that you should never give your info out over the phone. If this was legit, and it really was Bank of America, they would be able to look up your account with the last 4 digits only. And also, they would never be calling you unsolicited in the first place. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION OR YOU WILL BE A VICTIM OF THEFT. PLEASE REPORT THIS NUMBER TO YOUR BANK SO THEY CAN BEGIN THE INVESTIGATION TO SHUT THIS DOWN!!!!!!!
We've been receiving calls from 469-201-7025 for several weeks now. I finally used *67 and called the number back and got a message stating the purpose of their phone calls, which was all a bunch of nonsense. However, I decided to speak with a rep and have our number removed. The lady I spoke with was very kind and said they were calling from BOA, but did not state the exact reason. I'm assuming with a promotional offer or something along those lines. She gladly added our phone number and mailing address to their do not call list. It may take up to 30 days, which I know is typical since I've worked as a rep myself before, but hopefully it works.
