For the past 3 months they call every day every 2 hrs starting at 8am to 8 pm. I dont answer. I will never answer. I have never had a Best Buy or Citi credit card. From what I have read here and on other forums, they try to get info from you, falsely claim you owe money, etc. They are either bottom feeder debt collectors or scam artists or both.
SCAM. I've been receiving these calls for the last three days. Sent them to voicemail. I think they may be giving up, last call didn't leave a voicemail.
Paraphrasing: says they are Citibank, thanks for being a loyal customer, please call about my Best Buy account. They give: 855-242-6899 or Web site www.bestbuy.accountonline.com. These are not valid Citibank or Best Buy contact numbers.
The thieves have gotten more sophisticated, apparently the now to go call.
Also, in the last 40 years I have never had a Citibank or Best Buy account. This is a SCAM.
They'll keep calling. I get a message and then 3 more calls with no message during the day. They've actually cut back. They use to call every 2 hours starting at 8 am - 8 pm. They also switch numbers every once in a while. I love how they tell me to log onto my account when I have no account - neither online or ever with their crappy credit card.
