Same APPLE INC using the same scam and a new number listed in New Mexico (Albuquerque, Farmington, Santa Fe)-- 505-837-6480 calling every hour now and leaving a call back to 833-501-4720. Don't answer but annoyed having to delete all the messages on answering service. Just like Congress nothing ever gets done about these AHs!
This is a LEGITIMATE phone number and belongs to the Apple Store in Portland, OR, but it is being spoofed by scammers.

Transcribed voicemail (beginning is cut off because the scammers started talking during the voicemail greeting): "Of your Apple device we strongly recommend you to talk to support advisor on 844-308-6817. I repeat the number is 844-308-6817. If you wish to talk to a support adviser right now please press one if you wish to hang up press two."
Just received a call at 730am EST on a Sunday. Knew it was a total scam but wanted to talk anyway. Pressed 1 and was put on hold for approx. 6 mins. When I got a rep that had heavy accent I demanded what the purpose of this call was. Could not answer me and tried to say my account has been breached and we can help. I asked what account? They responded with iCloud. I stated I have no such thing. He stated you just bought new apple product. I said no. He said yes. I said I want to speak to your supervisor. Call disconnected. No idea how they got my #. Scam.
Caller ID says: APPLE INC. Picked up and it was a recording saying something to the fact iCloud account could have been compromised? Gave a 800# to call later or press 1 to speak to a rep now. So I pressed 1. A man with an Indian accent picked up. Background noise was other Indian people talking. He ID himself as "rep" I said "Can I help you?" he said "what do you want me to do?" I said "Do not ever call me again do you understand". He said "I can call you anytime and nothing you can do". I asked what is the purpose of this call? Repeated question 2x. He would not answer and finally just hung up on me. SCAM. This scam operation are able to spoof their number to make it look like Apple is calling. The only thing I can think of is yesterday I had to back up my iPhone because I bought a new one. So maybe Apple does have a breach!
Have received 4 calls today from this number, claiming Apple/iCloud security issues. I don't use iCloud. Apple would not contact me (or anyone) this way for security issues.
