I received a call from William Jacobs with Brown and Smith Law firm from the number 516-288-1515 asking that I call them back at 929-268-1973. Was informed that a lawsuit was going to be filed against me under section 925 by Midland Group which is a parent group that has abot 250 "children" groups as William put it. He offered me a settlement of $489 but could not tell me what the lawsuit was for only that it was for something that took place prior to Jan 2011.
Just vultures buying up legitimate and illegitimate debts for pennies on the dollar, and then trying to harass and coerce folks into paying. One of them told me that they would be sending a local sheriff to arrest me at my work. Really? LOL! Anyone that knows anything, knows that is not how the judicial system works. But what is sad, is that some people are naive and honestly don't know any better. Those are the folks that willingly turn their money over to these scum, just out of fear. It's a shame the government cannot do anything more to stop this trend.
this guy called my wifes phone and said it was regarding a legal matter that i was being sued and my checkes will be garnished if i didnt call him back and that he has my ss number and he said that number so fast i didnt get it. so i tried to call that number he called on and it said that it was a infled number. something needs to be done!
