Got two phone calls this week from this number saying a lawsuit is in place against my name and social, these people who haress and threaten need to be stop if they think thier going to get my money or i'm going to feel threaten i got news for them i won't even play your game just directions on where to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the same call from a William Jacobs but it was Brown and Schmidt Law Firm. Same story as all of the other postings. I called him back and he wanted my phone number. When I told him I would not give it to him, he hung up on me. SCAM!!!!! People BEWARE!!!! DO NOT give any information to him!!!!
I googled Calvin and Travis Law Firm and got a hit from the Better Business Bureau.
There is an alert on this from BBB. Our files contain a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging they receive harassing pay day loan debt collection calls for debts that may not be legitimate from Calvin & Travis Law Firm. Consumers claim the company threatens to sue the consumer or garnish wages. Most of these consumers claim they have never opened a pay day loan.
Calvin & Travis Law Firm have not responded to these consumer complaints.
On April 29, 2013, BBB sent certified correspondence to Calvin & Travis Law Firm requesting their voluntary cooperation in resolving complaints on file with BBB and providing steps it will implement to eliminate the pattern of customer complaints; however, as of today BBB has not received a response from the company.

I was contacted by Mr. Williams Jacobs with Brown and Smith Law firm. He stated that a lawsuit was going to be filed against me with garnish wages. He offered me a settlement of $489 but could not tell me what the lawsuit was for only that it was for something that took place prior to Dec 2012. He said it was a loan via the internet. This is a scam. My atttorneys are involved in the matter. He called from 929-268-1973.
