They called me today and my work - stating that I took a payday loan and did not repay it. They said they are taking legal action and and black listing my SS#. When I asked when was this loan taken - No Answer, told them that I was filing harassment charges - they said f u and hung up.
The number (607)595-1862 called my cell phone then called my work when I didn't answer my cell phone. They left me a voicemail saying that I needed to call them back or they would have to turn in over to the law. I called the Police department in my home town they told me they were just a scam trying to get money. DON"T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. I know I don't owe anyone anything I am debt free. So watch what your doing because these people just want your information.
Are they kidding? What I want to know is, who actually falls for this stupid [***] they say? They have been leaving VM's all over the place, home, work even my sister. I don't waste my time even attempting to call back or to listen to anything they have to say. I just hang up. Don't waste your time. The first thing I say to them is: "This call is being recorded and a trace is on this line from my local police department", needless to say, they hang up right away. They will get tired of calling and getting the same answer before I do. They are full of [***], anyone who knows anything about our legal system here in the US, knows this trick. When they say they are coming to serve me at work, I always tell them I'm here from 9-5 Monday thru Friday. I don't for the life of me understand why people get so worked up over these scam artists.
