I received a call to asking for my mom, she said that was with Honeywell Security and, my 3 year warrenty was expiring. Caught me off guard. She said. "Can you hear me". It was too late. I said. "Yeah". ALERT ALERT...
I received the same call, woman with accent and hard to hear. She hung up after I said I did not have a system.. bad idea after she hung up right after that. She also had my full name. However I reported the number to the FCC.
I received a call from a male telemarketer who knew my name.
He said he was calling about my Honeywell home security system that had been active for the past 3 years.
When I told him that I don't have a home security system, he hung up.
That freaked me out, thinking that they would try to use that information and rob my home.
I used *69 to get their number 614-524-4801 but there is no listing for it.
CenturyLink said they could not help with fraud. I would need to report it to the FCC.
I don't have a home security system because I don't need one.
I have a boxer guard dog and a 45 automatic in my nightstand.
Same call from spoofed number 614-524-4801 - female sounded old with accent - same alarm system story - I wonder if they know how many people without alarm systems have guns?
Male with mid-eastern accent called me by my name and said my Honeywell alarm system has not been updated in 3 years, when I said I didn't have that one and where did he get my name, the phone started breaking up and hung up. Tried calling back no answer.
