This may or may not be a legitimate number for Comenity Bank but as phone numbers are easily spoofed, better to not give the caller any personal information. Instead hang up and call a known number for them, such as the one on the back of your card or on your statement. NEVER give some random caller personal information, no matter whom they claim to be.
A guy with a thick accent called and asked for my husband. He almost shouted his name at me...his first name and then his full name. I wouldn't admit I knew him because it didn't seem like he knew who he was calling. He said it was a private matter. He was very creepy. I knew better than give him any information.
Don't know who they are, I answered 1 time and they hung up. They call 3-4 times a day. I don't owe anyone anything. Can't make them stop, it's really annoying.
Received a call from Comenity 614-754-4051 at 8 am asking for my son. When I asked who was calling, I was asked if I was the wife. I knew right away it wasn't legit. I said no, I was the mother and my son had stepped out and I was happy to take a message. I was advised at that time the caller was from Zales Outlet (seems fishy since Zales and Zales at the Outlet aren't separate companies) and he would call back later...never did call back. This maybe a legit collection agency but I seriously doubt it for two reasons...
1). My son doesn't have a balance on his Zales account at this time.
2). He NEVER puts our landline on HIS lines of credit. (Car loan, Zales, Credit Card, etc.).
I wouldn't give anyone who calls from this company ANY information!
