just received the identical call. Told caller I have many grandsons and tell me your first name. Caller hung up. Got to find a way of getting rid of these kinds of calls. Number is now blocked on my phone
My mother received the call about her grandson who was in jail with a broken nose in Alabama after an accident and DUI. needed bail money.. the sad part is , the grandson we thought it was calling would have done such a thing to scam money.. but it was not him.. we called his boss and confirmed he was at work that very moment.. similatiries.. he use to live in manhattans, same area code.. he has been hinting around about leaving ... needs cash for that... we still hope it is not him, but I wouldn't put it past him.. my mother now has strict instructions that is any family member, even my own kids need money.. they have to come thru me! please be sure your aging parents have ONE person who they can call if any question arises about ANYTHING!!
This axx-hole keeps calling my mother. Today, I took the call. Same scam as everyone else is getting, the "Gramma" bull. My question is what can be done about these fxxkers???? And WHY isn't anything being done. I have my mother's number on the "Do not call" list but she gets these calls EVERY DAY!
What can be done??? Does anyone know?
I received a call from this number today and every day for the past month. I do NOT answer the phone when I don't recognize the number. However, this time I looked it up and noticed many reports of scamming coming from this number. Please stop these phone calls!
