406-468-1003, called threats of a bench warrant, bunch of B.S.!!

Just received a call from Michael, Michael, Green and Associates this morning from a woman (who spoke TOO fast, and if she works for a legitimate legal office, that speaks volumes alone), who claimed my husband would be taken to court if he did not pay $700 of an alleged $3,000+ claim against him. While the claimant was legit, the amount was not and that was red flag #1. Red flag # 2, the only way that we could even get out of this alleged court date was to give her our credit card (prepaid or otherwise) number. When I told her we didn't have one and that I wouldn't give this over the phone to begin with if I did, she started talking very quickly once again. Then she told me there was nothing that could be done for us and "goodbye," and hung-up quickly.
A REAL legal office would a). not have someone so unprofessional working from a call center (auto dialer more than likely) to do this sort of thing, and b). they would not ask for our credit card # over the phone.
Be forewarned! I am not sure if this isn't the same set of scam artists using a different name for their supposed "legal office."
Contact both your local BBB as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Federal Trade Commission.
My guess is that the name they used to use has been shut down and now they're using Michael, Michael, Green and Associates.

I too received a call from this number. They are using public records of phone numbers associated to where you live for the name that they use. I know this because the name referenced has not lived at my location since pre 1998. Knowing a few things about the internet, I now know
