Got a call from this number and it said pay phone on the caller Id. It was a recorded message saying something about the IRS. The message said to call back another number but I didnt get the number. I heard on the news that this is a scam.
this # called with a recorded message saying they were the IRS trying repeatedly to contact me, that this is a final warning of a lawsuit being filed against me. Call back # 209 676-8870. I won't be calling back. Caller ID said Pay Phone
Recorded message on my answering machine reportedly from the IRS saying they were seeking a warrant for my arrest for unpaid taxes. Yeah, right. Classic scam this time of year. Also ID'd as a payphone on my caller ID -- do payphones even exist anymore?!!!
Caller claims they are from Windows and my computer is infected. They wanted remote access to fix it. Said hackers were attempting to use my computer for illegal activity. THEY ARE THE HACKERS!! BEWARE!
