IRS SCAM ALERT!! This appeared as a payphone number on my landline's caller ID. The caller/recording wants you to assume that it is the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit. The IRS does not make phone calls. They will contact you by mail. The scammers want you to call their "Official" Office number: 917-725-2228. This number is a New York landline carried by Verizon according to RUScammer. I read a post from another sight that someone called this number and an Indian sounding voice answered. If you receive this call, report it.
