I came home from work and had a message from this woman stating that I had to call this number and gave me this phone number to call back on. something about being a state and legal problem and I had to use this case number she gave me. Then she said I had to call back before they started legal action. My boss told me if if was legal action, they would contact me by mail and not leave a message on the phone. Apparently this is a scam, so i just didn't call it back. She didn't give a company or even an lawyers name. if it was a legal situation, they would of at least given the name of the lawyer or attorneys office name.
Got a call from a person that said they were officer smith. They wanted to get money from a payday loan. Said they had video of me leaving this place to a bank. When i called this bank they said they cannot release Any video with out a warrant and no vidros had been requested. When i asked for documentation she refused. Said i could only pay with credit card or debit and needed my number. She was rude and even asking her to quit calling three times she continued calling. Beware of calls from 7162425202 its a scam
I got a call from this number as well today saying I had a case against me. The lady said her name is joanne smith. She told me I would have my driver's license suspended and have to pay like $2,000 extra if I didn't pay today. When i told her I am a single mom and only work part time she argued with me saying within the last month I was verified as working full time at my job. She was a very hateful woman. We both ended up yelling at each otther and I eventually hung up on her. I just did not have a good feeling about this woman!!!
Your right. This Joanne Smith has been doing this sort of scamming for years. Total scam. Read the other notes. Debt collectors cannot suspend anyone's license. Period.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Joanne Smith first called my husband .. I left a message and she started calling me. Saying that I owed Oracle. I advised her I didn't owe anything and she would have to send it to me in writing .. then she started asking about my SS#. She become testy when I told her I don't discuss anything about my SS# and she was to send anything to me in writing - otherwise this was a scam when she refused I informed her not to call me again and disconnected the line. Then the calls started from a private number. I told her again not to call me. The third time I informed her she was breaking Florida State Statue by calling me and I would have her charged....have yet to receive another call.
