Well, even after I posted last I continued to receive phone calls from this company. Vented on the registry, actually had these guys call me at past 8 in the evening one time. I did find out that the company I got my home loan with had released my personal information and if I wanted my personal information kept to myself then I had to call a phone number to get taken off the list. They don't tell you this until 6 months after the fact and hundreds of harassing phone calls later! Since I removed my personal information from any lists (that I know of at the moment), I have not received a call from the Mortgage Inv again. It's still a bunch of bull that I have to spell it out that I want my private info kept as that, private.
The company calls several times a day, I've spoke with them 3 or 4 times now in the last couple of weeks and they swear they will remove my numner from their list, although they still call and call and call. I'm ready to file harassment charges.
I get 2 to 3 calls per day, including Saturday. It is total harassment. I have told them that I'm not interested in changing my mortgage and have asked to be removed from their call list twice so far, but they keep calling. Just this month, they have shown up on my caller ID 21 times - calls at least two to three times per day, usually in the evening.
We have ben getting calls from mortgage investors for month now from 4 to 6 calls all day now. No matter what we tell them, they continue. By the way we don't have a mortgage. I believe they are not what they claim they are, but a tactic of creditors to covertly harrass you on top of their calls.
If you're still getting the calls I was told to file a report with the Federal Trade Commission. The more people call the more it will help. The FTC number is 1-877-382-4357. Please report it. cj
