Got a call from same number this morning. There are two people involved - First caller said his name is John Cruz and told me I have police complaint and legal affidavit against me. Asked me to call back once his supervisor is there. Later his "so-called" supervisor called by name David Marshall and said the same thing. Asked me to settle the matter quick. Was talking about the state tax evasion. The moment I said my CPA will contact you, he said we cannot help you and hung up. I called my local police department and let the officer know about this. He said these guys must be pranksters - ignore them or tell them that you have asked the state/local police to get involved - and they should back out.
My wife received a call from 732-964-0148 at my home phone from a person identifying himself to be Officer Ron Davis. He asked for me by name and when asked what this was about, he told her that there was an ongoing investigation against me for tax fraud. He threatened her that we would be arrested in the evening and that our citizenship would be revoked. When I tried to reach 732-964-0148 the caller did not pick-up and the voicemail announced that it was a Magic Jack customer. I called back again and the person identified himself to be Officer Ron Davis. When I asked what kind of officer, he replied "Police Officer." And when I asked which state, he said United States. When I told him there is nothing called a United States police officer he hung up! I made a complaint to the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ about this.
Yes, you are right. I am an Indian myself. I got this call and easily identified this was call from another Indian. He claimed to be some state officer John Drew with batch number BC12537 and there was some kind of criminal investigation on me. I was laughing myself from within but carried on to see where this guy lands. He asked me to hold while he got his senior office on line to talk to me about this and what options I have to save myself from being arrested. hah! There it was.. it meant they want money from you. As soon as this happened, I started in native language and the person was taken aback and hung up on me.
I called 732-964-0148 again and this time i blasted them in native language and he again hung up. Next time I called, he did not pick my call but it went to voice mail indicating this was a 'Magic Jack' number using which a person can call from anywhere in the world and immitate as being calling from USA.
I have lodged complain against this person with all details. I would very happy when this gang gets caught and prosecuted thus teaching others not to spoil any countries name.

Today Morning, I got call from same number....He started that there is warrant against me and I have done big crime...Bank related....IRS issued arrest letter...then his senior officer came on call.....
They had indian ascent...caller ID was 4110 and number started from 732 so I realize that this is fake and I hung up....
But some one should take action against this number.....
