Got a call from same number this morning. There are two people involved - First caller said his name is John Cruz and told me I have police complaint and legal affidavit against me. Asked me to call back once his supervisor is there. Later his "so-called" supervisor called by name David Marshall and said the same thing. Asked me to settle the matter quick. Was talking about the state tax evasion. The moment I said my CPA will contact you, he said we cannot help you and hung up. I called my local police department and let the officer know about this. He said these guys must be pranksters - ignore them or tell them that you have asked the state/local police to get involved - and they should back out.
I received the same call from 732-964-0148. First it was "Officer" Alan Parrish claiming to be from State Investigation Department - no state. He called later and said he was from my state. Then "Officer" Ron Davis (funny how his voice and that of "Officer" Parrish were the same.) called from the same number. Every time they called, they would call and put me on hold and another person would come on line. Although, the voice sounded the same every time. I was told that an interpreter is listening to my conversations with my family members and when I asked to speak to him, a guy named Anil Panchal (claiming to be the interpreter) came on asking me what language would I like him to talk in. Basically they are FRAUDS and all of them need to be arrested.
I also got a call from this number. I heard the same Indian accent. Two calls within two hours telling me I have criminal proceedings. I am from Indian descent. I noticed some of you are Indian descent. Just wondering if some Indian database is leaked out and someone out to commit fraud. Any ideas on how to deal with it?
