Got a call from same number this morning. There are two people involved - First caller said his name is John Cruz and told me I have police complaint and legal affidavit against me. Asked me to call back once his supervisor is there. Later his "so-called" supervisor called by name David Marshall and said the same thing. Asked me to settle the matter quick. Was talking about the state tax evasion. The moment I said my CPA will contact you, he said we cannot help you and hung up. I called my local police department and let the officer know about this. He said these guys must be pranksters - ignore them or tell them that you have asked the state/local police to get involved - and they should back out.
I got call on Thursday same thing I have to pay IRS $1238.00 and they mad me pay I got green dot prey pay cads and paid money I am going to report police and detactive to look for these crooks and save our community from scam
I pad and call the green dot prey paid cad company they know where these cards were used but they didn't want to give me more info they said if police call them then they will give info to police I am going to give my card numbers to police and get info from green dot
My mom just got the same call today 7/15/2013. My parents were freaked out. I called the local FBI office and I was told to hang up them. These people need to stop this [***].
We received voice message. The messages was not very clear. The guy was mentioning he is calling from a LAW office and will take legal action for child abuse case and ask to call back. My wife call back to this number but always going to voice message. This is a crime to threaten someone with false allegation.
Just happened with my aunt as well. I reported it to MJ and gave them the time of call. They kept insisting to give contact details of my aunt and the number on which the call was made. Those idiots can check their record to see which number their customer called at the time I gave them. Pretty sure they would do nothing since they have to save the privacy of the prankster who pays them $20 a year.
