The same guy has called me. He called me numerous times a few days ago, and then again this morning. They must be going at it all the time this week because every one else has posted from this week about this guy. Very thick Indian accent, says he's with Anderson Law Firm, says his name is Shawn..when he says my name, or tries to, it sounds wrong and he's not very smart. My father is an attorney so he called him back and he just hung up on him. That right there proves he's not a real attorney or assistant to a law firm. I'm hoping my dad's phone call to him scared him off. I think these guys are harmless as long as you don't give them any information.
I have received two of these calls today at work. The guy (Who calls himself Steve Johnson with Anderson Law Firm) has left me two nasty voicemails. Saying there has been a legal suit filed against my name and SS#. The second VM he threatened to call my work and....tell them what I had done???? If I didn't call them back. Will they stop calling if I don't call them back?
Chris Hill from Anderson Law Firm has called my work number, cell phone, and home phone today with the same message regarding my SS under investigation. A couple of years ago they called regarding a debt to pay day loans.
Really guys? This is such a scam. These guys called me fishing for my SS#, name and email. They must have called me a dozen times in the last week. Same BS as stated in the other posts. They stated that a suit had been filed against my SS# etc. etc. I gave them fake info and even told the Indian accented "Mr. Jones" that my name is Mel Gibson. No sh*t!!! They actually keep calling back now asking for Mr. Gibson. It's hilarious. I break out into my best Australian accent and talk about how "I've been in the outback for 20 years fighting kangaroos, wrestling crocs and making love to Shela's". They actually are so culturally illiterate that they stay on the line with me, calling me "Mr. Mel Gibson.". Today, I finally called the guy out on his fake anglo name and proceeded to insult him in a non politically correct way. He ended the call with a "f*ck you"!!! Seriously, this really happened. My advice is to mess with them until they stop calling because they will call you relentlessly until they realize that you are on to the scam. Let them know that you are aware of the scam. I am going to call them back in a few minutes and harass the hell out of them. I suggest you all do the same. I already called and left a message saying that my name was "Liberachi" and I wanted to take Mr. Jones shopping for soccer shorts. have fun. They are scammers and deserve harassment!!!
